Hours

If you cannot pick up your pet before closing time at 5:00 pm, please let the staff know; they will do their best to accommodate your picking up your pet after closing if your work schedule requires that.  Please note that Dr. Rice and the staff work very long days (they usually have to work many more hours during the week than the posted open hours).  Therefore, it is necessary for their physical well-being and family life for the hospital to be closed on the weekends.  However, Dr. Rice is usually available to his active clients for after-hours emergencies.  If you are a client and have a dire emergency with your pet, just contact the main clinic phone at (870) 423-2211.  You will be put in touch with the on-call doctor from there.

Please kindly consider that doctors have very little time for their “other life” and their families.  General questions and non-emergency situations can easily be handled during regular business hours.  Dr. Rice and Dr. Ashley are frequently overwhelmed with messages after hours.  They will return calls to clients who have true emergencies promptly.  Non-emergency messages will gladly be responded to on the next business day.  Thank you for your understanding.
